Geylang, it was name that will be associated to red light district in Singapore. The name itself is from Malay origin, said it is Kilang (mill/factory) as there were many coconut mill; however Geylang in Hokkian means also chicken cage. another theory said it is derived from Orang Galang (orang laut Tribal group).
Nowadays Geylang is red light district particularly in even number Lorong (street). I went here by mistake i should go to SIngapore-Malaysia train station and forgot the MRT station, so I took snapshot of Geylang.
