I will probably travelling to Azerbeijan in autumn.
I'm looking for locations to shoot daily live in small poor villages, mines, local hosptitals etc.etc in the region.
Preferably reasonably close (200kms) to Baku.
Any ideas?
If not, could you introduce me to Lightstalkers so I can ask around there?
I'm happy to give you the details of the Ukranian Fixer.
I'd rather send them to your personal mailbox. Please note that your emailadress on your site does not seem to work.
My website is now under construction so as soon as it is ready I will let you know and I can show you some more work of my trip to the Ukraine of last year.
The trip was purely pleasure (i'm not a professional photographer). I travelled with a friend of mine who is Ukranian. He used to be a fixer in Ukraine so he could help me with getting acces to the hospital and mines. I will definitely go back once (probably in wintertime) to discover more and to develop my documentary skills.
Remember me? I was the guy travelling to Ukraine this summer and asked you for advise.
I went to the Lugansk/Donbass area and had the opportunity to shoot near and in (illegal) mines and a local hospital.
Just sharing some pics with you. Check: http://viiphoto.ning.com/photo/albums/hospital-donbass-area-ukraine.
If you are interested I'm happy to share more.
I have already arranged places to stay so that's been taken care of.
I was triggered by the mines because of the documentary "Working Man's Death by Michael Glauwogger. Check it out! An amazing documentary. http://www.workingmansdeath.com/
I will store your mobile number. I might be in Kiev a couple of days depending on my schedule.
I will travel through Ukraine soon. Will be mainly in the Lugansk area to shoot the local life, (illegal) mines, etc. etc.
Any tips for interesting area's?
