Chorzow Dream

The Park in Chorzów is one the most unique place in Poland. The Park emerged in 1950 as „green lungs” of Upper Silesian Industrial Region and was designed on the former mine waste dumps, refuse dumps and wastelands. In the Park area are located: a zoo, an amusement park, a planetarium, a swimming-pool, rose-garden, a heritage park and restaurants. It was supposed to be a huge area of entertainment and relax for hard working people employed in the coal-mine. Nowadays park is still growing up and changing. New trends and people needs born new entertainment creatures.
At the present park is like a guide book by the history of polish entertainment, full of subjects, places and symbols which should have been created ideal, utopian space. Poland 2007/2008.
