Hi Mike
sorry for this late reply but I was quiet busy the past few weeks. The effectiveness of the antiwar movement is not so effective because of the poor coverage of their action by the corporate media and also they are not unified. Too many groups and poor coordination. Now the army is professional army, since 1973, the draft is over and people are " volunteer" to join. but the reality is not so simple many students do not have other choise to join to get the GI bill in order to go to college. It is a kind of Poverty Draft now.....
about the mass media, I think they are so much involved in the corporate business that they lost their soul...

By the way i should be interested to hear your point of view about it and about your experience with veterans.

Just to let you know ... i was in DC last week march 13th to 16th to document the Winter Soldier of this group Iraq veterans Against The war : They featured testimony giving an accurate account of what is really happening day in and day out, on the ground in Iraq and Afghanistan.

In USA there are some veterans and active duty who have a strategy to end the war in Iraq.
