I want to buy a 6 x6 camera. Nowadays , its difficult to choose options.. But i just hear about kiev 88 camera.. Anybody know about this camera? is it good?, how is it work?
hi marco. i never use kiev 88. but from what i heard is the built quality is not good. but if you`re really want to get one, i suggest you get one modified by arax or hartblai.
i'm a kiev 88 user...for some time i've been shooting with a hasselblad 500cm... a hasselblad is to precious to use it all the time so with decent optics the kiev 88 can shoot some outstanding photographs, and you can find it really difficult to find the diferences between the pics taken whith a hasselblad, bronica or a mamiya r67 and the kiev... so the only secret is the optics... however the kiev 88 is almos an identhic copy of the hasselblad 1000f...so...
for more info(in fact i think you'll find an answer to all of your questions :)) http://www.kievaholic.com/
all the best..

Hey, Happy New Year, what is your budget? B&H in the US has really good prices for second hand medium format (even for Hasselblad) have a look on their web site;-)
Hello !
Esa Raditya is right, Kiev are poor quality, it means that the quality is very irregular, you can find a good second-hand Kiev that work for many more years and you can buy a new one good for garbage after few month... Arax are better, it's Kiev camera upgraded to higher standards (ex : multi-coated lenses), and they are really cheaper than Hasselblad...
Hola Marco yo tuve una Kiev, el único inconveniente es que son muy delicadas, se descomponen fácilmente, hay que tener cuidado con ellas, definitivamente no son de batalla, Saludos
